A Free Editor, by Design
The Editor is free: unlimited documents and collaborators, visual and LaTeX editing, autosave, history, milestones, sharing, and export. It remains useful even when you never ask a model to touch the manuscript.
AI is a separate choice, not the hidden funding mechanism for the free tier. The Agent Workspace is a monthly product for author-directed assistance. The Autonomous Writer gives one Sol agent a credit-bounded project with an outline agreement before drafting.
What We Stand For
Honesty first
We do not present roadmap capabilities as if they were already live. The interface identifies the model, credit reservation, and project state before the work begins.
Provenance by default
Every AI draft and revision is recorded with a receipt, so your paper can always disclose exactly which passages involved AI.
Authors remain in control
The Editor makes no AI request on its own. Agent edits remain reviewable, and autonomous drafting begins from an outline the author has explicitly approved.
